Dignity In Design

MedBand:

A medical ID bracelet that uses an NFC

chip to store important medical information

(chosen by the user to avoid HIPAA

violations):

  • Emergency Contacts

  • Medication

  • Past EKG's

Activities that most people don't think

about:

  • cutting vegetables

  • trimming nails

  • draining water

  • opening doors

are sometimes impossible for people

depending on age, disabilities, and more.

I started Dignity In Design to restore

dignity and independence through

thoughtfully engineered products that

help elderly and disabled individuals

regain everyday abilities.

From finger guards to prevent someone

from cutting themselves using a knife,

to a bracelet with an embedded NFC

chip to store medical information,

simple products can make a huge

impact.
